Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa is the county seat of Sonoma County and presently hosts a population of over 161,469. It is located about fifty five miles north from San Francisco. The city is recognized for its local dairy, meat, seafood, produce and its vineyards. Famous Chefs from around the globe are attracted to the abundance of natural produce offered here. Santa Rosa hosts a year round farmers market two times a week. It is considered the largest city within California's wine country.

The thriving economy of Santa Rosa includes a lot of various trades. Among which comprise: agriculture, bio-medical, education, environmental, high-tech, and tourism

Santa Rosa provides something for everybody, from safaris to spas. It has various amenities to provide to its people, such as meticulously kept gardens and an assortment of activity centers.

In various parts of the city; it is not uncommon to see wild animals casually walking all over. Opossums, deer, raccoons are common along with flocks of wild turkeys. Amongst the less common creatures roaming around are mountain lions, foxes, and rabbits. There are numerous birds which could be found nesting in the trees of the median strip on West Ninth Street, like for example great blue herons, black-crowned herons, snowy egrets and great egrets. The reason for this is because the only remaining undeveloped land rests right on the fringe of the city. What's more, corridors of the Santa Rosa Creek run through the middle of the city.

The Annadel State Park, that connects Spring Lake Country Park and Howarth Park are situated right on the border of the city. The Sonoma Mountains are also included within Annadel Park. These parks are open to the public and are visited by those wising to experience nature at its finest.

Santa Rosa City is the fifth biggest of the cities in the San Francisco Bay area and is considered the biggest city in California's wine country. With a population of approximately 490,000 individuals, the metropolitan are of Santa Rosa is the 12th biggest in California.
