Sunnyvale is a beautiful city within the San Francisco Bay Area located just an hour away from the Pacific Ocean. In November 2009, for the very first time in 30 years, several main streets downtown were opened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic as the main construction was finally completed. In the month of December of the very same year, the city started working on the exteriors of some of the buildings on McKinley Ave and Washington Ave, as well as the two office towers on Mathilda. They also started to weatherize the partially-completed Redwood Square building.
The marketability of the project on the office tower at Mathilda and Washington Ave. drastically increased when Nokia, during May of the year 2010, signed a lease to make Sunnydale its Northern California head office.
