Long Beach is a beautiful city located within Los Angeles County on Southern California's pacific coast. It is situated approximately 105 miles north of San Diego and 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. On its southeast edge lies Orange County. Signal Hill city is entirely encompassed in the city limits. The city has a projected population of 492,882, making it the 6th largest city within the state of California and the 39th biggest city in the US.

It is the second busiest container port in the US and has been known as the Aquatic Capital of the Nation. There are large oil reservoirs located underground and offshore that has created several jobs in the business and a considerable amount of income for the city. In the 1980's, Long Beach was amongst the epicenters of the crack cocaine epidemic. Although most of the problem has been corrected, utilizing cocaine is still among the highest within the county.
The weather condition in Long Beach is beautiful and can be classified as Mediterranean.
