Liebherr Construction Cranes

Liebherr Construction Cranes

In 1949, the Liebherr family business was created by Hans Liebherr. His first claim to fame was the success of his affordable and easy-to-assemble mobile tower crane. It was upon this invention that the company's foundation flourished under. Today, Liebherr has grown to become among the world's leading manufacturers of construction machines. The business has also earned the reputation of being the accredited provider of technically innovative user-oriented services and products in different fields. The company has currently become a "Group" working in every continent with over 35,000 workers and over 130 companies across the globe.

In order to guarantee a manageable operating size, the Liebherr Group has been divided into different company units. These units have been designed to operate separately. This specific set up allows the company the ability to be flexible to market signals and stay in tune with worldwide competition. What's more, having so many individual company units additionally keeps customer service operating at an optimum level and ensures customer proximity.

Liebherr has instituted the divisional control companies to be able to deal with the management operations of sales and production for the individual product segments. The Liebherr Group now has ten various product divisions.

The holding company of the Liebherr Group is Liebherr-International AG. Liebherr-International AG is located in Bulle, Switzerland and is operating by the Liebherr family members. Presently, the family business is being managed by Dr. H.C. Willi Liebherr and his sister Dr. H.C. Isolde Liebherr in the second generation. Ever since the year 2012, several of the active individual divisions have been represented by 3rd generation members of the family like: Sophie Albrecht, Jan Liebherr, Stefanie Wohlfarth and Patricia Ruf. These family members have been working hard together to be able to help set up the course of the family business in the future. They are staying on top of residential buildings and large-scale industrial projects across the globe.

Hans Liebherr started to build his business during 1949, in a tiny town known as Kirchdorf within southern Germany. Kirchdorf, currently supports among Liebherr's 20 manufacturing locations. They employ over 1400 individuals in that particular workforce and are able to average a yearly output of roughly 2800 wheeled excavators. The company has enjoyed diversity and immense growth since it first opened its doors. The Liebherr Group continues to remain very dedicated to implementing and engineering innovative designs. They have earned a successful and positive place within the material handling industry.
