Tire Types
Cushion tires are generally considered solid tires with no tread pattern. These tires are made for indoor smooth and solid surfaces. There are tread patterns available though, which are more suitable for various surface environments. The cushion tires are popular on smooth warehouse floors and in similar applications.

On the other hand, pneumatic tires require air and have been specially made for outdoor use on uneven ground and loose surfaces. Pneumatic truck tires have higher ground clearance as well. This raises the center of gravity of the forklift and really lessens its rated lift capacity. More often than not, pneumatic tires are used in rough terrain surroundings due to their ability to navigate uneven surfaces in a smoother manner. A lot of construction sites and agricultural or mining applications rely on these tires so as to make certain the equipment is able to travel as carefully and safe as possible.

Lift Capacity and Lift Height
In order to determine the capacity of the vehicle needed, it is important to understand the maximum weight and dimensions of the loads you would be handling. Furthermore, you should know the maximum fork height required in order to stack or rack the loads. These factors, the lifting height and the load size, really affect the truck's lifting capacity. A bigger size load could move the center of gravity of the vehicle and change the load combination. This reduces the machine's lifting capacity as well as affects the load being lifted and the height. Utilizing various types of attachments could also affect the overall capacity of the truck.

Mast Options
There are a lot of different options of masts existing on the market. Like for instance, there are quad, triple, double or single, the numbers indicate how many sections or stages the mast has. In various circumstances, you will not be needed to make any choices because the lift height will dictate the kind of mast you would get, however, in trucks with very high lift heights, you can have a choice.
